Eiffel Lake is characterized by extremely high clarity (transparency). On calm days, it can even be hard to tell where the shore ends and the water begins. The trail to Wenkchemna Pass traverses a talus slope that gives hikers a unique perspective on the lake’s barren catchment and radiant blue color. The name Eiffel comes from the towering rock near the lake that, with some imagination, looks like the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Elevation: 2271 m asl Surface area: 13.5 ha Maximum depth: 13.5 m
