Baker Lake is located downstream of Ptarmigan Lake just below treeline in the heart of the Skoki Valley. Named for a prospector who searched the area for gold in the late 1800’s, Baker Lake (and Ptarmigan) are the headwaters of Baker Creek which flows into the Bow River. The backcountry campground nearby is a regular stop on the popular Skoki Loop backpacking route. Elevation: 2207 m asl Surface area: 36.4 ha Maximum depth: 11.6 m
